Pros - nice scenery, Cons - all other aspects of the movie. It's like they took all the cheesy parts out of a bunch of other cheesy movies and made them fit together.

Okay, I know I'm a guy, but this movie was very well done! Enjoyed it from start to finish! Some parts did get a little slow, but it was still an enjoyable movie!

I'm not generally keen on romantic comedies, but this one made me laugh almost all the way through. It was far better than I expected. I especially enjoyed the scenery, it was gorgeous.

It makes you feel warm inside. Perhaps the world isn't such a bad place. It's a quiet funny movie. Makes me want to pack my bags and go to old country.

It's definitely a girls night out film. The main characters had great chemistry. I loved to watch Amy Adams run around in her 5" heels which was hilarious in any kind of rainy weather. Whales & Dublin entices me to go and visit one day. It was a very cute romantic comedy! Great fun. Go see it.

A very fun romantic comedy. I thought the 2 main characters had great chemistry. It was very enjoyable!

Good idea. Amy Adams performance is always great. Matthew Goode performance wasn't his best work. The storyline could of been much tighter to make it a really good movie.

Was a cute girly flick, I didn't expect much so it was prefectly entertaining. I am an Amy Adams fan and she as usual is completely lovable in this character.

Good plot, very poor acting. Bad directing. Zero chemistry between stars and audio on the dialog was very difficult to hear.

Really fun movie. Great for all those who like romantic comedy and not looking for sexy, gory, freaky movies with coarse language. This was a pleasant change. Take time to relax, and laugh. The Irish countryside is beautiful especially compared to our snowy, frozen climate right now. The chemistry between Matthew Goode and Amy Adams is believable. Acting was good. They both did well in portraying their characters. Life is too serious. It is nice to watch a "feel good" movie for a change. I would buy the movie, just for that reason. Jennie.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Amy Adams did terrible she is the worst actor ever, I could predict every scene too stupid to watch the only thing I liked was the scene when she askes him to marry her.

I wasn't expecting much. I thought it would be your typical chick flick, maybe more of a renter but it was cheap night so I gave it a chance. WOW... it's always sad when you have low expectations and you're still disappointed. This movie was beyond cheesey, predictable, poory written, and in no way funny. Also there is nothing remotely likable about Amy Adams' character (and I normally like her)

The movie had no appeal. There was little chemistry between the characters and the story didn't make sense and was really far fetched. I've had to sit through romantic comedies, and some I've liked and some I can see have value, this is not one of those romantic comedies.

The movie was alright, bit of a drag. Some scenes could have been cut out. Over all an okay movie!

Enjoyed the music, the scenaries and the story. It is a relaxing movie, go with your girlfriend and enjoy the time. My plan was to watch Legion but I was late so I ended up watching Leap Year. You could wait for a rental, it is not like your life will end if you don't watch it. But I sure have enjoyed it very much. I have a very stressful work-life style and movies like this make me realize how good love is and how it feels to fall in love again. Enough about myself. It is a good movie and it is worth seeing. Good luck.

Very cute romantic comedy. Not sappy in the least. It made me want to purchase a one-way ticket to Ireland and find myself a rugged Irish man.

A cute concept that needed to have deeper characters than these, who argue about whether the Irish tradition of women proposing on leap day is "poo". Amy Adams is sweet when she's silly, but this was stupid.

Really enjoyed it. Oh, yes, that's a comedy, but a very good one. The 2 main characters are sweethearts, scenery of Ireland is very well pictured. Yes, some of the stuff is improbable, but it is a feel good movie, in the best meaning of the phrase. At the same time, it speaks some truths about men-women relationships. And yes, I understand it is not the typical young man's movie, but it seduced most of the women I know who saw it.

This is a quite tacky movie, frankly. I could predict almost every scene... don't go if you are there to watch a movie, a typical nice trap for those love bird though.

It was a chick flick so it was obviously going to be predictable, but they do take you for a little bit of a spin. Great scenery, fair acting. No thinking involved, just good feelings. Great if you're in the mood for exactly what this is. :) A funny, charming, feel good movie that takes you out of your own life and into dreams.

Very nice movie. Based on the reviews here I didn't expect much and didn't think it's funny but I was happy surprised. People at the cinema (including me) where laughing and enjoying the movie. Few times it got a little bit slow but otherwise it was very nice movie to see.

The previews didn't do it justice. It came off as a romantic flick but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it actually had some depth and meaning into it. It made for a nice movie night.

Cute and entertaining! It was fun to lose myself in the fantasy of a romantic comedy that, while predictable (as are most rom-coms), was not overly sentimental. Amy Adams as Anna is sweet yet feisty, while Matthew Goode's Declan is properly brooding & taciturn, with both hitting just the right note of vulnerability. And it doesn't hurt that Matthew Goode looks very good in a beard ;)

I didn't really laugh throughout this movie, maybe just chuckled a couple of times. It was very VERY predictable. If you've seen the trailor, you're pretty much seen the whole movie. The scenery of Ireland was amazing, but I felt slightly insulted by the watering down of the accents. They all sounded british. Some parts were sweet, but extremly predictable. I would rent this movie, but I'd skip seeing it in theaters.

It was fun to watch and I laughed out loud but there was absolutely no substance. Amy Adams obviously can't play anything but oblivious and coy, where as Matthew Goode, who usually has a little bit of depth (i said little), has lost his ability to act. Both actors have been in movies with eerily similar plot; both movies considerably better than this one. My friend loved it but I accuse her of having no taste on a weekly basis. Consider yourself warned for a less than stellar 2 hours of your life.

A smart movie in the romantic genre. The reserved, good acting adds a lot of emotional depth to the movie. Perfect example of "Less is more".

The acting was not that great and the deliberation of comedy really boring. The only good part is I saw it on Tuesday! Less money for poor movie...
