It was pretty good but I think they stuck all the books into one and it was kind-of confuzing at times. Fregley was the Best!

It was a decent movie. Made me smile/laugh at some parts but overall, it could have been better.

It could have been alot more funnier and it could have had more story but beside that it wasn't bad.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] A nice movie. Had some good qualities. I was at the end not too sympathetic to the main character -- and came off liking the "Best friend" character better. It was hard to feel sorry (for the main character) - "smart alek" is a good description. At least he comes to (some) senses at the end. Peter.

I thought it was an 'ok' movie. There were some funny parts but I thought the acting was pretty bad. My 10 year old sister loved it though.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] That rocked! A bit too much fighting with Greg and Rowley though, in the book they barely did at all. Rodrick ROCKED! (And then... they planted trees) He is hot.

Some movies regarding children also have something at a deeper level for adults. This move does not have that kind of depth. Not my kind of humour I suppose. Actually the teenagers in the theater didn't laugh too often or too loudly either. The adults in this movie are shallow and actually some are down right stupid. If you're under 15, maybe you'll like it. I for one didn't.

Well , the movie was okay. It had it's funny parts, but some of it was dumb. The book is funnier. Like stuff was added to the movie that wasn't necessary.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a good movie but it's not the Best. I liked it but Greg and Rowly are in a fight for to long. It takes up a lot of the movie :( I liked it though.

Good, but a lot of part of the book are missing.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a rather eccentric and halfway decent film, but it's definitely not a future Academy Award winning phenomenon. It doesn't feature particularly experienced actors and actresses, and its plot doesn't correspond with that of the book's at all. Also, to save you the trouble of waiting in that ridiculously long line to buy candy before you watch this movie, you won't feel like eating after seeing some of the things in this film adaptation.

The movie was great but, the most of the story lines were changed and it didn't say what day it was or anything if it was the next day or next month and some charactars were not mentioned and some were added that wasn't in the book. Some things happened that didn't happen it the book. I have to say I enjoy the book a lot better than the movie, and I'm not saying that the movie wasn't good but, it could of been a lot better. I thought the movie was still good very funny its just it didn't follow the story line from the book.

I loved it personally, But my dad didn't like it so much.. He thought it was boring, as did I a little bit such as they changed it but it was amazing too.

Essentially... this is TV's " Wonder Years " brought to the big screen. A few laughs but it wears thin.

Took my 8yr old and 11yr old and their friends. I thought it was a complete waste of money and my kids and their friends thought it sucked as well said they wasted their time and could have been doing something a lot better. They all agree the book is a good read and movie was a waste of time. Wait for it to come out on video.

This movie was a failure, the jokes were not even what I would consider funny to a 5 year old. The story was just boring as it went absolutely nowhere. Just don't go to the movie, the trailer makes it look a lot better than in reality.

I thought the movie did follow most parts in the book. As always the book was better, but I still enjoyed this movie. A good change from the kiddy movies that I saw recently like "tooth fairy" or "alvin and the chipmunks". A good change, because this movie had good dialogue, better acting and humour that kids, teens and adults will enjoy.

Funny movie. I am a huge fan and have read all 4 books. Jeff Kinney does a great job writing the books and I think it would be awesome if he made more books and movies. Don't change the actors. They suit the charecters well. I even have the t-shirt! Go see it now! You won't be disapointed!
