I loved the film and thought it told interesting, creative, heartbreaking and beautiful stories about family relationships and the relationships that follow. The film had wonderfull actors and sequences and I recommend you go see it- 10/10!

Defenitely one of the best films of the year. It has great performances from all the characters and a very interesting plot. Some of the best sequences I've ever seen in a film (rain scene). Length of the film did not bother me, I was so into the story. Excellence!

Ok... getting straight to the point.. DO NOT BOTHER SEEING this movie! this is the biggest bull I've ever seen. You sit through 2 and a half hours of the movie hoping that these people's lives will somehow link up to one another. But of course, the frogs that randomly fall from the sky 3/4 way through just adding to your desperation, dyeing for this madness to end!!

Excellent movie. All of the acting was excellent. Great soundtrack. Very refreshing use of the art of cinema. A real trip. Not Disney, though - this movie does not take you by the hand and guide you gently through the story. It's about emotional rescue, and about real and fake. The creators of this movie had the courage to force the audience to pay attention. It's a real treat. I have to see it again to catch all the details - such as the Stanley Kubrick joke about 2001.

My opinion... don't even bother to see this ... it is a complete waste of film, time, money, and effort. The film is way too long (over 3 hrs) and simply does not deliver.. lets just say that this is definitely "Oscar" material for Tom Cruise.. point finale..

Intelligent and inovative movie. Unusual but very refreshing. Excellence performance of all actors. I might not be a "sit and don't think" movie, but it's worth it. Something that we should see at the oscars.

A delight. Wonderfully crafted, strong performances, dazzling screenplay is a feast for the mind. Sympathy is felt for those who didn't "get it".

Really weird man. Frogs coming out of the sky... that was cool, but I couldn't make any sense of it. I like the views of Tom Cruise though. He was the only character worth watching in the movie.

I really liked this movie, in fact I was sorry that it ended because I wanted to know more. As for the frogs, raining little animals has happened B4 (rare but it is in the realms of possibility) and did anyone notice the Exodus 8:2 sign on the bus stop. The fact is you need to sit back, relax, enjoy the movie and take it with a huge grain of salt. The reason why we have so many stupid movies out there is because whenever we see something different we dislike it because it doesn't make sense. All you people who hated it most likely knew beforehand that it was three hours long and that it was going to be bizarre... so what were you expecting ? I laughed my guts out when I saw the frogs, I didn't get upset because "that wouldn't happen in real life". I'm giving this film a ten because I feel its low ratings from the viewers below are completely unfair.

Typical "tortured-intellectual" movie that will probably win a few Academy Awards for its artsy-fartsy content. However, I found this piece of trash long, depressing and painful to sit through. One of the worst movies I have ever seen! (Several people in the audience were leaving in the middle of it...) They could have easily made this three-hour marathon an hour shorter without making a difference to the plot. Definitely not a movie to take someone to on a first date...

Don't get me wrong, I think this movie is very good. The acting is excellent. I like every piece of this movie except... Well, those frogs. I would be much happier if they showed an 747 air plain carrying tons frogs accidentally open its cargo in mid air. Now, I know there is a biblical explanation to all this, but I don’t think it fit in this movie. But despite the suicide jumping frogs (which I learned to accept by agreeing with the narrator that “weird things happen”) I think this is a very high quality movie. BTW, I did not see anything about “no animals were harmed in the making of this film” Those poor frogies.

An excellent movie. I like the style and story of the movie. Magnolia has a new and and creative style which makes the audiance think, maybe that's why so many people didn't like it at all.

Be prepared to sit back and watch for 3 hours. This movie was long but at least it kept me interested. The only thing I didn't like was the music that lasted throughout the entire movie.

I saw this movie with 3 of my friends and we all found it long and longer by every minute! I am sure there was a deep message but, it just drags on!

The first 5-10 min. were promising and funny. Still, I kept waiting for something interesting to happen for the next 3 hours or so. I anticipated a punch and was very disappointed in the end. I like weird movies... as long as they have an interesting plot. Cruise was great as always but his role couldn't save this depressing flick.

There was absolutly no point to this movie, I cannot belive 3 hours of nonesense. I only thought that was possible in foreign films.I guess the actors were desperate for roles if they were in this movie. I could I would give it a -10!

Magnolia was an amazing film, and I am greatly dismayed at the number of people who professed to not understand it. Evidently, a movie that required intelligence and thoughtfulness to appreciate is not well-received when other, faster forms of entertainment are available.

A waist of three perfectly good hours, ridiculously long boring and frog-falling-from the-sky weard. Even Tom Cruise doesn't make it worth seeing.

I love people who say that the film insulted their intelligence and had no point. Essentially, this statement, in the context of this film, means you are not intelligent because the film has a clear and definite point. Basically, if you have trouble thinking for yourself, avoid this film. If you enjoy layered filmmaking and are willing to go to some effort to piece the puzzle together than this is a beatiful, emotionally stunning, horrifying and sometimes hilarious film.

First of all, this movie was excessively long. The first 45 minutes showed promise, though with time, I began to realize there was little direction and focus to this film. The acting and casting was excellent, however, nothing could have saved this messageless and non-evolving plot.

One long, convoluted music video. Another late-90's Hollywood wank (e.g. Big Liebowski, Fight Club, Usual Suspects.) Tom Cruise and Jason Robards are excellent, however. Overall, the film insulted my intelligence.
