Beautifully acted, stunning visuals, sad piece of history that deserves every piece of celluloid to be told and therefore, a definite must see movie. The agony that Solomon endured for 12 years is painful to watch and powerfully filmed. Everything from costuming to set designs and the script to the minor & major players was captivating. Without giving anything away... stay to see the brief written story of Solomon's trials after this part of his story is told - very little of his life was easy but much was rewarding.
