For non- Hindis, this movie is a good vehicle to expand one's cinematic experience. Several of the characters speak English some of the time and the subtitles keep one up to speed the rest. A nice story with really great performances by the leads. The music and dance numbers are really well produced. A very watchable and enjoyable movie.

Could I bring an English-speaking Canadian (born in Holland) to watch this movie?
Absolutely. I am a non-Hindi English speaking Canadian of Irish descent and thouroughly enjoyed this movie. The version I saw though was advertised as having English sub-titles and I notice this one is not. SO CHECK FIRST As long as reading sub-titles ( if provided) during the Hindi speaking segments is not a problem, then certainly bring your friend. And like I say, there are English speaking segments as well.
