Richard Curtis' formula has never resulted a bad film. They are all pretty unique, but singular in resonance and feel good factor. About Time has some of the most emotive moments in film this year. The cast are superb, all of them. I give the high points to Bill Nighy and Tom Hollander, but everyone is A-1. The actor/character integration just works. Gleeson and McAdams, work a warm comfort that's not fully on fire, but relatable and kind. She's really got range, our Rachel. Gleeson sells his character with aplomb too. Richard Griffiths uncredited in his last role, along Richard E. Grant have a near Python-esque scene, that brought the house down. Time travel always works, as device, but it's seldom used with the empathy shown here. Another worthy one, Mr. Curtis. Why, not a 10? Four Weddings, Notting Hill are the gold standard... !
