This is not the best film you or I will see this year, but it is cute: sometimes silly, sometimes serious and it has a happy ending. In other words, it's a great summer film. I think the world needs more Diane Keaton and Frances Sternhagen so I was immediately charmed. I don't usually love Michael Douglas, but I really enjoyed his onscreen charm (and lack of charm) I would have liked to see more of his "son" and learn more about their past relationship, but that was the only thing lacking for me. Nice to see Connecticut life, the affluent as well as the lower-middle class versions depicted onscreen. A really sweet family redemption story which also depicts falling in love in the fall of your years.
