This is an eccentric dark comedy. The film puts in a decent effort to have the whole story revolve around one setting in Broadway. The movie gives a unique plot dealing with ego, alter-ego, fame, mental illness, family breakdown, and acting. As much as this film tries to be original, I find this movie not connecting to the average viewer unfortunately. Instead, I find this film snobby and posh – as if the average person should feel sorry for overpaid and pretentious producers, directors, and actors who can’t handle their own personal addictions stemming from pride, ego, money, and fame. As such, it is very difficult to empathize with the characters in this movie. This film may be more appreciated by people in the entertainment business, but the movie does not give any long lasting impression to the average person.
