    Bluebeard's Eighth Wife

A rare, smart romantic comedy from the directoral hand of the great Ernst Lubitsch who gave us so many sophisticated features from the thirties to the mid forties. Claudette Colbert and Gary Cooper are charming in this tale and Edward Everett Horton seems to be the usually perplexed second banana with a definitive 'gay' bent! Keep your eyes peeled for a very young David Niven as his Hlooywood career was beginning and the venerable Elizabeth Patterson who within 15 years time would be the lovable Mrs. Trumble on the old I LOVE LUCY program.
