    Burn After Reading

As we all know, there are many [people] visting theatres these days who have been affected by a barrage of Hollywood Crap movies with car chases and explosions and plot lines that are suitable for a grade nine class. These are the same [people] that can't keep their mouths shut for TWO FRIGGIN' MINUTES when they go to the movies!!! And these are the [people] who rate this movie under a 7 because they just don't get it! For the love of Pete (and everybody loves Pete) grow up people this is the COEN BROTHERS' movie making film genius' of our time. You know "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" "Fargo" "No Country For Old Men" and a slew of others that just seem to be a cut above of your normal (gag me with a spoon for you jet set mamas)formula tripe. GO SEE THIS MOVIE but make sure you have an IQ. They won't be checking for ID but sometimes I sure wish they would check for IQ's and save these folks their pennies for hip hop records and spare me the pain of their lame reviews. Have a good night eh...

You're right- all the 1s, 2s and 3s on this board are from people who didn't know what they were going to see. Shame, because this movie should have a rating of 9 point something, but a bunch of as you say 'Hollywood crap movie' fans are going and not getting what they are used to, and can't understand it...

Art is subjective and while I agree this movie was good, there is no need for you to criticize nor force-feed your ideals to others. Just rate the movie not the movie-goers.

I am very well aware that art is subjective, which is why I wrote my review in the first place because of those who just don't get it. Further, if I rate the movie and the movie goer, there is no harm in it and I and every Canadian can express ourselves as we like. By you telling me how I should rate things, aren't you doing the same thing mon frere'. The last time I checked we are living in a country where there is freedom of speech. If I have critiqued something that you would like to debate that is fine but to tell me how and what I should say is just you wanting to be a dictator. Am I overreacting?

And besides, the purpose of this page is to help people who are deciding which movie to watch. You can't do that without categorising people, and saying "If you like this, you might not like this". We're not saying "If you don't like this, you're stupid"

So Intolerable Cruelty and the Ladykillers must be masterpieces too since the Coen brothers did them. They can do crappy movies too you know.

Hard to believe that the Coen's are human afterall. The Riverdale Kid agrees with you. :)

Yeah, I'm kind of insulted by all of these people telling me that I don't have an IQ just because I didn't like the same movie as them. I'm not into dark humour, I don't find brutal violence funny. Not when I've seen it in real life, which I have. Not funny at all. But I found some good parts with the movie. I actually have a very high IQ, just a different taste in movies than you. Please don't insult me for having a different opinion.
