Great film based on the true story about two British track athletes, Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams, competing in the 1924 Olympics. This movie is not only about sport but also about faith, conviction, and love of country. There is a strong Christian theme which I found refreshing. The fact that the movie takes place in Great Britain allows for first rate cinematography which further adds to the richness of this production. In addition, the soundtrack produced for Chariots of Fire by Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou, known professionally as Vangelis, is one of the most famous musical recordings in movie history. While there are few historical inaccuracies, this production is grand and stays true to the spirit of the real story.
