What a pleasant surprise! This movie is very well written. The 3-D stuff is like all the other movies of the summer--GREAT. The visuals for 3-D have moved ahead exponentially over the last year. I would add that it is a bit of a rip-off to be charged an extra three bucks for the "glasses". This movie though has a genuinely funny storyline and is well "acted". I would almost guess that the actors ad-libbed stuff and the artists adjusted the animation to their wit. There are laughs throughout the movie for all members of the audience. And surprisingly the adults and kids often are laughing at the same joke. The storyline moves along smoothly and tidies itself up very cleverly at the end. This is easily the best 3-D movie of the summer but not because of the 3-D effects. The movie stands on its own as an entertaining, well-written script. I am sure most of you who have seen the previews can guess the storyline, but the assorted characters give this show and added element of humour. You will find your self smiling a good deal in between the laughs. A nicely paced story and fairly fresh in its presentation.
