    Coal Miner's Daughter

Director Michael Apted created a country classic with Sissy Spacek as the famed Loretta Lynn and Tommy Lee Jones as her husband/manager. Though the film is from 1980, it holds up well and is completely engrossing. It's one of the best bio-pics to come out of Hollywood with Loretta's life told in a truthful, direct way without ridiculous made up plot lines. It's worth every minute as you will witness the great Sissy Spacek give an outstanding Best Actress Oscar Performance as the Queen of country music. I'm not a country music fan, but this film transcends any genre of music. Loved it and will probably see it again. A movie that should be seen.
