I dont understand people. We have here a film in the form of a «drama documentary» on what would «REALLY» happen if a real pandamic took place but instead people were expecting a film with action and A story plot. What did you expect to see? Contagion had 2 significances: The outbreak itself and the reaction of the population facing anarchy when everything we take for granted falls apart. This is a great movie. If it would have been produced by National Georgraphic as a documentary, everyone would have said «Great Show» but because it was produced for the cinema as a form of drama film, people were expecting too much. Lets just hope that those same people dont face a real outbreak one day because they might be the first to fall victim to the anarchy way before the virus.

This was not what would really happen if a real serious pandemic took place. You would have some actual action with people rioting, starving, killing each other, etc. There is barely any of this. All there is, is a shot of a map or two and basically nothing. It was not the worst movie ever but it had nothing to say and was not even an average movie let alone a great one. It definitely was not some kind of blueprint as to what would actually happen as it was full of inaccuracies and was clearly fictitious.
