    Curtains

This old creaky Canadian horror flick from over 30 years ago has been given a fresh, new digital format for the first time. So it looks great visually. That's one good aspect of the film. The plot of a group of women trying to get the lead as a crazed character in a theatre piece is half decent if it was left at that with a plot other than what we get. Some 'mask wearing hag' of a killer seems bent on doing away with everyone. Now that is ridiculous plotting! Samantha Eggar who was so great in The Collector and a few other films is one of the actresses trying out for the part. Strange how she just disappeared from the movie scene after a wild early successful career. She made a great many Canadian films once her career had peaked. The film is a fun, hysterical ride to pass away a few hours.
