It was an interesting examination of the modern french family, its values, and the changing face of diversity within the french culture. The film really shows us what money will do to people and relationships when the need to choose between the two arises. I liked that there wasn't much music, if any, just the sounds of life. A bit repetitive, but that's necessary to give a good comparison of the different responses to the same question: would you give up some money so this person can keep their job? I most definitely would, and it's surprising how many people wouldn't have, and for what reasons. MC was fantastic as a regular working class stiff with mental issues. Seems all too familiar.
