What's good: Performances by all leads are good, esp. Sharlto Copley as a mad-dog mercenary. Boy, he's in great shape. Set design and effects are very good, although I suspect the shakeycam hides a lot of seams. Action is well done, some very gritty and gripping combat scenes. What's bad: Too darn much shakeycam! If your SFX, sets and stunt performances aren't good enough to bear close inspection, spend a little more money and clean them up. Don't p! $$ off your audience by making them motion sick and headachy. The political message -- the haves vs have-nots theme in this movie is downright stupid... about the level of middle-school socialist BS debating club. Believe it or not, kids, you can't turn hell into heaven by forcing all the mean old rich people into sharing their stuff. This movie was politically, economically and even technologically incoherent and silly. As usual, a pretty good movie was spoiled for me by a crude and nonsensical storyline.

Appreciated your comments in all respects. My wife had a severe concussion and is affected badly from the shaky cam. I'll give this movie a pass and take her to one a bit more traditional.
