I don't believe in perfection but I guess I could not see this masterpiece with a critical eye. I thought that there have been some incredibly wonderful movies this year but this one takes the cake. The acting is superb, Sandra Bullock's best in my opinion, (made me cry in her role as a mother), and Thomas Horn deserves an Oscar in his film debut. He is nothing below stellar in his performance. Tom Hanks is great as part of any casting. The film focused more on the aftermath of 9/11 which I think the reality of all that cannot even be imagined for those who suffered loss. It depicts an extraordinary journey; heartbreaking, surprising, funny, healing and most importantly full of love, depicting all its faces of humanity. Quite the antithesus of the horrific acts of 9/11. Bring some kleenex, you're sure to shed some tears and joy. The movies stays within your soul. Would love to read the book. The score too is beautiful. I would see it again with my husband!!
