Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes

Christopher Lambert made a pretty good Tarzan way back in the 80's when the tale went right back to its roots. Compared to 2016's The Adventure of Tarzan, the film seems to be a masterpiece though it's not a truly great film. One important note to the 80's film is that Sir Ralph Richardson as Tarzan's grandfather made a solid impression scoring Richardson an Oscar Nomination in a supporting role. See this and then laugh at the current Tarzan of 2016.
