I love it when a movie far exceeds my expectations. I wanted to see Hasee Toh Phasee first because I hadn't seen a Hindi movie in the cinema for quite some time and second, because Parineeti's character seemed so quirky. The odd combination of an Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar production too intrigued me. I wasn't expecting much though, since the trailers didn't really give away much of the story. Parineeti's character was super-duper awesome though, and her acting was absolutely brilliant. What I really liked about the film apart from the twist on the love triangle were the whimsical comedy scenes. My two favourites have got to be the coffee and tea service scene, as well as the Indian idol audition rehash. If you want to see more novel Indian cinema at your local theatres, you really need to go see HTP. Otherwise, we'll get nothing but the same old mind-numbing drivel over and over.
