It was a tremendous hit and deservedly so when first released. It's one of those little pictures in the vein of JUNO which captures the total attention of both audiences and critics; a sheer delight to witness on the big screen with other enraptured movie lovers, the only civilized way to view a film. It's fab from start to finish! Hilarious! Kaulkin was a " wunderkind." Too bad his life took the turn it did. What ever became of director Chris Columbus?
