I Am Number Four

Click here to show this review. Well. Definitively not Twilight but totally "Roswell" and "X-files". The main plot is good, but the sidelines are so weak: why do the "protectors" all die so easily; Why did they come on earth with a sword when the other beasts have a total arsenal and beasts with them; How come the protector did not know about the dog; How come the dog did not reveal itself from the beginning; How come the explosion at the end can blow away an entire stadium, but only breaks the windows of the door behind which the humans take shelter? This movie was more a teaser/trailer for a franchise, since they don't explain anything: the powers, the reason why they kill them in order, the magical box, the medallions, the scars, the language, their destiny, blah blah blah. Also inspired by Transformers : the UFO geek that is saving the world and representing the human race and the chick on the motorcycle (surprise, her bike did not hum a song while in the cemetery, like "take my breath away") The kids are not cute nor chiseled (which surprised me, expecially for the main character) So, a no-brainer movie which is totally a waste of money, but as for Twilight franchise, I guess that I will go see the sequels, won't I? ;-) I predict that the Alien chick will fall in love with the hero, and breed his baby, and the hero will spend the 3rd movie trying to reconcile himself with the human chick; and the alien chick will finally leave earth with her baby in the 4th movie, leaving the hero on Hearth with his belle. Yaaawn... !
