The voices of the robot and McConaughey were so closely matched that the dialogue didn't always make sense if you weren't tuned in 100%. They couldn't give the robot a more unique sounding voice? Comparisons to 2001 the Kubrick sci-fi are inevitable but Contact with Jody Fostet, John Lithgow and McConaughey is also in there. I thought the movie was brilliant in places but shallow in others. In the end being the first person to enter a black hole and live to tell about it seems way out there. The problem with sci-fi movies is that they are one dimensional projections of pictures in a three dimensional world, no pun intended. It's worth the buck anyway.
