This is mostly a spoof of the 1960's spy movies (like James Bond and Matt Helm) and TV shows (like The Avengers and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.), but this movie is not nearly as funny as Austin Powers. However, in keeping with the 2010's, the choreographed violence has been increased considerably... It also resembles many young adult fiction movies that are so prevalent nowadays, with it's commentary on (especially British) society. The villain's scheme - although not revealed in full until the last third of the film - is ingenious.
