It is rare that I score films from the Middle East below an 8/10. The ingredients for a great film were clearly present but something was missing. I realize this wasn't meant to be a documentary, but I still think the film-maker missed a golden opportunity to provide us with a more holistic view of the struggles facing Israelis and Palestinians rather than the very limited character-based version we saw here; both should be achievable in a single film. There was much too much dialogue and not enough "show." The interrogative nature of the character interaction was overblown and certain aspects of the dialogue and story were often not believable with random motives inserted to substantiate action. I was expecting much, much better. Some good photography and shots of the region nonetheless.
