One of the very perfect film noirs, a masterpiece from Otto Preminger in 1944. I probably have seen this feature some five times yet it always remains watchable and exciting. Who is this Laura? That is the question! As played by stunningly beautiful Gene Tierney, one could not ask for more. Those who surround her and are part of her world and mystery bring such fascinating bits in regards this fascinating creature. Dana Andrews, Vincent Price, the solid power of Dame Judith Anderson and especially Clifton Webb, the older, jealous lover in an Oscar Nominated performance... this cast is impeccable. Kudos to director Otto Preminger who brought it so vividly to life. This remains a classic of its genre.
