Love is in the Blood. A mysterious girl with an unnatural condition needs to feed from a different source to stay alive. She finds an unlikely companion in a boy her age (or so it seems) Ties of love develop and ties of friendship grow with understanding and caring. It is almost Mythological, magical and terrifying. The connections are strong and support the story line. There is something wild about her that is beyond her power to solve. She just exists like anybody else on the planet. She is only different. She has also a sense of loyalty with the boy and supports and advises him, because he is to shy and weak. Together they form an outcaste team and so the story goes. Finely filmed with excellent portrayals. The children being the main characters and everybody else around them is left in the shadows. The night is a welcome companion for adventures of the 4th kind. She sucks the sap of Life like any natural non human entity on the planet. Yet appearances are misleading. Mother's Milk may be a blessing but other fluids may become sustenance for a thirst for life. Is like a neglected child fending for herself after the demise of her father. Street kids they seem and they don't ask, they take. Life is a struggle with no end and this is shown in this story very neatly. Their innocence is still there, untouched. The concepts of Good and Evil don't exist.
