    Marius

Marcel Pagnol's Marseille Trilogy is taken up in a new version by the brilliant French Actor/Director Daniel Auteuil. Well we get two thirds of the trilogy as Marius and then Fanny have their day. These two parts from Pagnol's masterpiece are so beautifully filmed by Auteuil and impeccably acted by beautiful, young, fresh talent. And let's not forget the lines from the great plays from which they derived. If you want a trip down memory lane, check out the Hollywood version of FANNY (early 60's) starring Leslie Caron, Horst Bucholtz, Charles Boyer and Maurice Chevalier. It's WONDERFUL as is Marius and Fanny.
