These old westerns sure show how to develop characters. All the focus is on the good guys, and they are developed with a depth that is so rare in most films. Wayne, Martin, Dickinson, Brennan and Nelson are all perfect in this well directed film. It develops at a leisurely pace, which works for an audience that is not in a rush.
