This too short a piece of biographical nature, was engaging, enlightening and romantic-but most of all, it fills you with hope under any circumstance. It is a sensitive piece of art with a charming flair based on the greatest first date I have ever watched unfold on the big screen."Parker Sawyers" who plays young Barack Obama not only looked like him but his voice was so similar with all its nuances, that it was remarkable! The interesting backgrounds of Barack and Michelle, each unique in their way, was an imperative part of the film, in order to understand how the past can affect the future in all of us. I watched and listened intently to young Obama as his speeches and thought processes just drew me in. It reminded me of President Obama in our modern day setting, trying to sort out our very complex world. John Legend was one of the executive producers and as a big fan of his, I found his new song," Start" to be one of his best in terms of lyrics and musically-it was beautiful and pleaded with inspiration. It is worthy of another Grammy in my books! My only comment of a critical nature was around the film's feature length-I think the audience wanted far more and the advertising of the film could have been much better. It was only by chance that I saw this film, and I'm so glad I did because it really stayed with me, made me laugh, shed a few tears and truly provided focus with its very informative and interesting dialogue.
