Splice is a very fun, well-done movie. Adrian Brody and Sarah Polley are solid performers doing a well thought-out and well acted story. Delphine Chaneac, the beautiful actress that portrays Dren, the bioengineered 'child' in the movie does a brilliant job, helped out by some fairly stunning creature effects. Try to take in a showing that's not attended by a group of 'high' college kids... we had a group that were yukking it up and being annoying and immature. Speaking of immaturity, it should be noted that the movie contains some nudity and rather twisted sexual content that parents may be very uncomfortable explaining to preteens and even younger teen kids. This isn't just a cool scary movie with some typical movie violence, and it well deserves its 18A rating.
