Star Trek

An homage to the original telly series, this is far superior to the lousy "next generation" flicks of recent years. The guy who plays "Bones" is perfect; the Kirk character is good; "Scotty" is hilarious," Chekov" is an overdone; silly stereotype, Uhura is not as cute as the original, but still hot; "Spock" is too 'human', and "Nero" is underdone, strangely enough. The plot is about what you would expect from a Star Trek movie. The special effects are, as always, superb. The humour adds to the fun. It isn't great cinema, but it IS great fun. The audience cheered and applauded at the end. Go see it.
