I'm surprised at some of the reviews. I have a hard time believing that this movie deserves the same rating as 21 And Over. A serious problem with that. Star Trek is a solid eight, and maybe a nine... maybe, it'll need another run-through for final judgement. It has some good action, a few good twists, a pin-up moment, and a decent plot. It's a Star Trek movie, though, so decent plot means something different for these movies; less expectation. Some good laughs, a few references from the old show, ie. Tribbles, red shirts... etc. What I didn't like was the unnecessary Leonard Nimoy cameo. Not sure what that added, oh wait, I do, nothing, but nostalgia. Now that I'm reviewing it, it's definitely not a nine, for sure, but a better movie than the first. I was pretty happy with it, over all. I'll see it again because I'm like that.
