As would be expected in a movie about gangsta rap this movie contains a lot of profanity, but it is appropriate in the story. I think this should have been nominated for best picture as it does a great job of showing how prejudice and police harassment shaped the experiences of these young artists. The personal stories about the relationships between the members of N.W.A. made the movie interesting, and the underlying morality tale taken from the life of Eazy E sends a good message to the young audience this movie targets. I did find the movie sanctified Dr. Dre a bit, but overall the performances were strong and the movie moved along at a nice pace.
