    The Book Thief

A beautiful film with superb acting by all especially Sophie Nelisse and Nico Liersch. A movie narrated by Death is not a happy film. The movie shows the horror of WW2 from the perspective of ordinary people living in a German town; a perspective rarely seen. Without the great acting which makes the characters real and believable it would have been just a very sad story.
