    The Company You Keep

The Company You Keep can boast the best cast list in an American film (made for adults) I've seen in 2013 so far. I did not read the bestselling novel so all the plots and sub-plots were surprises to me. Redford gets better with age, as does Chris Cooper, Sam Elliott, Brendan Gleeson and Julie Christie. I was not a Shia LeBoeuf fan before seeing the film and I can't say that I am now. He seemed to be making a great effort to act like a young, hungry, ernest reporter but just came off arrogant and smug as usual. Because the cast was so large their parts in the film seemed like cameos and just left me wanting to see more of them. The film was just over 2 hrs long and very entertaining.
