Well, I went because I saw the first film. It was a mother-daughter event that none of us really enjoyed. I read the first book, but didn't read this one so I can't say whether the problem is the story or the interpretation of it - I suspect the former. We found some of the scenes humorous when I'm pretty sure they were meant to be dramatic. I feel like we would have been better off seeing almost any other film.
