This movie is one of the most disturbing movies I have seen in my life. What is more disturbing is that none of the review that I have read here even mention how disturbing the movie is. To see children put in the situation where they are forced to kill other children is an ugly concept. The excuse in the story for the Hunger Games stretches the imagination. It's kind of silly to expect that a promise of peace would depend on such a barbaric, disturbing event. To see the people in the movie react to this blood sport as if it was a mere game is sickening. But I am sure that is what the makers of the movie and story intended. All that aside, if one gets past the absurdity of the idea, the movie was excellent in that it keeps us on the edge of our seats; we become involved with the main characters of the movie; and the movie disturbs us at it should.
