The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1

Short, pointless and trite. Are we to really believe that Jennifer Lawrence's character falls for the nerdiest guy in the story with all those other knights in shining armor constantly hovering around her like hungry wolves ready to mate? Rather a lame idea. The plot is thin and whimsical, like some producer or other out there in Hollywood dreamland had a cargo ship full of money to spend in a hurry and while sitting in some humid back-lot overstocked RV didn't know what to spend all their billions on so what the hell, this'll do! Jennifer serves as mere window dressing to a story and characters who themselves lack real substance. Perhaps a better title would've been, as Bob Dylan sang, "Don't folla lead'ahs n' watch'er pawkin' metah's."
