This film reminds me of Martin Scorcese's gangster works. Michael Shannon's powerhouse performance is Oscar worthy. Although the movie is cliched with the usual brutal violence and the not unsurprising ending, the film never fails to fascinate. Kuklinski was certainly the perfect husband and father;he was not the least bit interested in other women;he didn't drink, smoke or gamble. He spent time with his family. But, he also killed people for a living. That his wife was unaware of his choice of occupation was most amazing. And the contradictory nature of his psyche was very perplexing.
