Pretty good film overall. Clooney collides with David Mamet by type. The cast is strong and the material worthy of them. It does telegraph where it's going to some degree, but the journey's fine. Evan Rachel Wood is notable in significant company, although her character is not best fulfilled. Paul Giamatti's performance stands out also. It's not a comic book, a sequel nor a blatantly dumbed down re-make, and that pumps the value. You can take your brain to the theatre with you.
