The Interview

I was fairly excited to see The Interview before the whole controversy with North Korea and the Sony hackers. After the hack, it became one of my most anticipated movies ever. I love Seth Rogan, James Franco and the whole concept of this film. The first hour that the movie was released in Canada, I rented it immediately. Well, after having seen it, I could say that The Interview is a very fun comedy that could have been much better.

THE GOOD:

+ Some jokes are absolutely hysterical. There are a number of jokes that made me laugh hard.

+ Seth Rogan and James Franco have amazing chemistry, and Franco gives one of the funniest performances of the year.

+ The risks that were taken to make this movie were admirable. The writers had major balls.

+ The pace is very fast and the story is hilarious and entertaining. I was always enjoying myself while watching the movie.

THE BAD:

- Many jokes either weren't funny or were repeated over and over again until they became overdone.

- The second act of the movie wasn't too funny and was repetitive.

Overall, The Interview is frequently funny and has great chemistry between its leads. Even though many jokes fail, it is still constantly entertaining. It doesn't live up the the hype, but it is still worth watching!
