    The Killer Elite

This story ("based on a true story") is an interesting speculation on the true cost of oil in lives taken by the Anglo-American empire in its wars, large and small, overt and covert, and in the insanity done by those who, like one of the murderers in the story, consider themselves "patriots". The action sequences are more realistic than most and one of the "chase" scenes benefits from the use of Parkour techniques. It was a long movie but didn't seem like it.

You say, "The action sequences are more realistic than most" Are you kidding me? A guy strapped to a chair not only beats two trained spies/killers... but escapes by thrusting himself out of a second story window while attached to the same chair? And how about the fact that he can escape by jumping over 30 feet to scaffolding that is clearly six stories above the ground... and does not separate his shoulder socket... But hey, it is very realistic from the start when they escape from imprisonment with a coffee cup... And as always I was left to wonder why neither leading actor did not dispense with the other when the opportunity presented itself... which occurred several times. Let me ask you a simple question: If you had the opportunity to keep several million dollars and all you had to do was leave someone in a desert, or perhaps kill the person, what would you do? Statham let him live and left the money... Very realistic.
