The Lobster 2015
Another 1984?
Rules, Rules, Rules... Hotel rules, single rules for single people with a twist.
Love is a Lobster a Lobster is Love. Now if you love the Lobster you die like a ‘dog’ eaten by peers.
Hate to Love Love to Hate. You Love you go to hell, you don’t, hell awaits for you. Nature has taken a rare twist like leap of faith.
If there is such a thing The Lobster is irrationally stupid, found no sense in it at all. Humans and Animals, animal humans or human animals?
What’s the purpose of such a convoluted plot where the only thing that makes sense is no-non sense.
It’s like a puzzle where you move the pieces at random to complete it but you are short-sighted to do so.
We go from forest to city, from city to forest playing with life and death and benefiting or not we go back to the city to play pretend either we like it or not, we have an overseer who is as mental as a confused laboratory rat.
Food for the dogs she is. The movie no food for thought here, just Lobsters without taste, without shape or life, an imitation jungle run by paradox in a labyrinth of confusion like an ‘orderly disorder’.
Meaning? Forget it? Entertainment? Forget it too. Maybe the movie was directed by a Lobster in the shape of a person.
The problem resides when you exit the theater they offer no caviar at all. Just a residual taste of your own saliva covered by earth. Is it about a movie to die for or a movie dead already?
What if anything you found interesting in that plot?

Did you really watch this movie? There is a strong criticism of the absurdity of social conventions about loneliness and particularly about government control. I invite you to watch this movie once again carefully and think about it. Thanks!
Wow!!! I must admit: have never read such poetic, beautifully/mastery written critic given that I actually liked the movie... Your descriptions of your dislikes have my tremendous respect!!!
