    The Merry Gentleman

2014 Oscar Best Actor Nominee Michael Keaton is in excellent form in this 2008 drama of seemingly lost souls co-starring Kelly Macdonald. It's a bit of a darkish tale of trying to build new lives while seemingly unable to forget life from the past. There are so many emotions running through this film that seems to offer hope for a better life, one that comes with a bit of a cost as do most good things in life. I never would have found this film had Michael Keaton not made such an impression in BIRDMAN. The Merry Gentleman shows clearly that with forgiveness comes redemption. A Keaton film I hope comes to light for many more persons. It is worth the viewing, big time!
