Intriguing story of humanitarian preacher attempting to provide shelter to a group of the many homeless men flocking to Williston, N. Dakota, seeking gainful employment in the booming oil patch. It's one of those rare documentaries where the character and persona of the protagonist are revealed gradually, and finally in a shocking, ironic, sad ending. Pastor Jay Reinke goes to the mat to help many desperate men to achieve dignity in a town which refuses them Christian charity. His obsessive devotion to his cause is at the expense of many of his family duties. Is Jay Reinke a good man or a bad man? A sinner or a saint? A martyr or a hypocrite? Or are his motives darker then initially observed? This excellent one-of-a-kind film is likely to generate much discussion about the nature of good and evil.
