    The Picture of Dorian Gray

I hate calling this movie a horror film as it is advertised. I prefer to think of it as a very deep, disturbing character study of one who is not quite what one thinks. The outward and handsome Victorian gentleman played incredibly well by Hurd Hadfield is contrasted with his evil inner self. This is only one of the film's great performances. George Saunders, very young stars Donna Reed and Peter Lawford do quite well, but it is the blazing Oscar Nominated performance of Angela Lansbury that is a real coup.
