Pleasant, gentle, beautiful, delightful - these are the words I'd use to describe this latest effort by Miyazaki. No one dies, no one is impaled, or shot, or attacked by zombies. There are no explosions, or ninjas, or constant life-threatening jeopardy. Instead, there is color, and music, and gentle humor. Exploring the world from the perspective of a 3-inch high human was fascinating, amusing, and just a bit scary. My wife and I also quite enjoyed noting how things were being re-purposed by the Borrowers. This was a thoroughly enjoyable movie; a lovely respite from the usual garbage spilling out of Hollywood these days. Go and enjoy!
