This film is likely an entirely accurate look at the notorious Irish American gangsterism that has plagued Massachusetts society and government ever since the first potato famine immigrants arrived. The writing of the story with its theme of redemption is way above the average Hollywood product, and the acting and direction are excellent as well. There is something for everyone here; romance, suspense, mystery, and "action", all credibly balanced.
