This film was better than I was led to expect by the early CinemaClock ratings. But I have to say that, although billed as a comedy-drama, this film was much closer to drama than it was to comedy; it really had its serious moments along with some bawdy humour. The plot was a bit all-over-the-place, but the characters were nevertheless entirely believable. Jason Bateman, Tina Fey (surprisingly, given her background in comedy), and Jane Fonda did especially well. Not Oscar quality but still well worth seeing.
